We’ve featured many alternatives to the traditional wedding cake here and in West Weddings magazine over the years because we love anything that adds an extra flair of personality and creativity to a wedding. Cake pops are a recent trend that really captures both those elements – they are extremely customisable to suit your wedding while also being delightfully creative. They also double as wedding favours, so we love the versatility potential.
Kyla’s Cake Pops are one of our favourite local suppliers of cake pops. These lovely handmade cakes on a stick are an alternative to cupcakes and traditional wedding cakes, and have really been growing in popularity. Kyla will make these to suit your exact theme and colour scheme – be it a vintage look featuring lace and pastels, or a more bright and modern look with colourful flowers and other embellishments. She’ll even make special cake pops moulded to look like the bride and groom, making an ingenious (edible) cake topper.
They can be presented in many different ways; jam jars with lace which are ideal for a centrepiece for your guests tables, on a stand next to your wedding cake or on a table full of goodies for your guest to munch during your wedding reception.
Kyla got her love of baking from creating fun cakes for her children’s birthdays, since then she has started creating these delicious and beautiful pop cakes for hen do’s, sweet shops and orders are starting to come in for the wedding season.
